Michael D. Sifen is a local Developer/General Contractor who has been in business for over 30 years. We pride ourselves in constructing exceptional and innovative retail, multi-story self-storage facilities and Class A office spaces. With projects in Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina, Michael D. Sifen, Inc. is continually expanding into new markets and is always looking for trailblazing individuals to add to our team!

We are seeking a full-time, Superintendent. We are looking for someone who produces quality work that is constructed consistent with the standard’s set forth by our company. Sifen’s Superintendents perform the work in a timely and cost effective manner while maintaining a work environment that is safe, continuously kept clean, and orderly.

Responsibilities of Superintendent:

• Manage the day-to-day field operations such as scheduling subcontractors, consultants, and vendors, and ensuring that the project milestone dates and overall schedule completion date is met
• Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
• Walk job-site daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.

The ideal candidate must have:

• Minimum 5 years experience on NEW commercial construction is a MUST; Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering or related field a plus
• OSHA 30 RLD and First Aid/CPR Certified preferred not required
• A working knowledge of civil, architectural, mechanical and electrical work
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local building codes and safety laws
• Knowledge of permitting, review and inspection process
